"We live in a world where we forget what is important"

We live in a world where everything is fast paced that we forget to stop and breath. Where everything seems to change every second of the day. Like the 24 hours we have is not enough to fit everything we have to do. Thus, we work overtime to reach our goals and aspirations in life - the promotion we have always dreamed about or to become the best in our field.
We run like crazy, you know like the hamster running inside his wheel to catch up to this ever changing world we forget the other aspects of our lives including our self and relationships. Where we ignore what's important to us and chase superficial highs.
There was a book I read where people of long ago, from the prehistoric era, okay not that long ago, after the world war II, people from that era became more responsible, more happy, more appreciative, more grateful towards the people they care. That they claim they are completely different from who they were before the war happened. The reason is that the traumatic events that happened in their lives made them realize the important things in life that must be treasured - people and relationships.
I'm not saying that we have to go something as horrid as that for us to realize what's important. What I'm trying to tell you is that value what's in front of you even if they are the smallest things before it's too late. One day you'll realize that the smallest things are the greatest. Besides, as the saying goes regrets are made after its too late, and I don't want you to go through that. Believe me, been there done that. I tell you kabsat its scorching painful.
Don't go chasing something that you will not put in your grave. I tell you kabsat its not worth it. Start showing affection to the people you care. Treasure every relationship you have except when its toxic, let it go (Let it gooo).
So kabsat, take a moment to breath and stand still.
Cheers kabsat, and may you forge relationships and build bridges you have never dreamed of doing!
